Renee Olstead and Will Peltz who portray Jess Felton and Adam Sewell respectively, had prior to Unfriended both starred with actresses Jennifer Garner and Judy Greer in a past to present feature. Olstead starring as Garner's character Jenna's future best friend Becky in 30 anni in un secondo (2004) and Peltz as burnout youth Brandon Lender in Men, Women & Children (2014). Both films oversaw Olstead and Peltz off-set by the actress in role reversals, Garner as the embracing, carefree adult in 13 going on 30 and Greer as such in Men, Women & Children.
