The real Gregory H. 'Pappy' Boyington appeared in season one, episode fourteen, La squadriglia delle pecore nere: Deadliest Enemy of All: Part 2 (1977) in the cameo role of General Harrison Kenlay. He also appeared at the end of the season one finale, La squadriglia delle pecore nere: The Fastest Gun (1977), as an officer who pins a medal on Boyington in newsreel footage.
