When Amber is first seen at school with the other teenagers, her hair is conspicuously covering up her right shoulder. Later, when the teenagers visit Tara at the hospital, Amber is seen wearing a jacket with a bruise of her right shoulder being visible. This, along with Ghostface telling Sam over the phone during Tara's second attack that "I'll be sure to hit all the organs I missed last time," implies that Amber was indeed the one that attacked Tara at the beginning of the movie.
