In season six, episode two, "Last Night Gus", the the identity of the killer is revealed to be Leroy Jenkins. Shawn reveals this by announcing his name like a boxing announcer. "Leeeerrrooooooyyyyy Jenkins!!!", this is most likely an homage or joke reference to the popular YouTube video "a rough go" wherein a World of Warcraft game goes terribly awry when the above named character rushes into battle too soon shouting his own name as a battle cry and getting his whole party killed in the process.
