While this Australian television series was being developed, the "Kingsford" estate which had featured in the original 1996 tele-movie went on the market for sale. In 1999, the Nine Network, who made this TV series, seized the opportunity to purchase the property, knowing that being able to film on a working farm would be fundamental to the success of this series.
