Some filming took place in County Wicklow, Ireland, with Lough Dan as a stand-in for the fictional Loch Frey (information courtesy of County Wicklow Film Commission). The map of the Loch depicted in the movie is a renamed copy of the map of Lough Dan. The white cottage in the movie is situated on the north east shore of the Lough, alongside River Cloghoge.
