Johnny Depp and Jeff Goldblum have played Washington Irving's legendary character of Ichabod Crane, the protagonist in "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" (1820), in two separate filmed productions. These were in Il mistero di Sleepy Hollow (1999), and the television movie La leggenda di Sleepy Hollow (1980) respectively.
