John de Lancie is the character who played Q in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Q-Less (1993) (#1.6), & a few episodes of Star Trek: Voyager (1995).Detective Monk: Mr. Monk Bumps His Head (2006) (#4.11) Charles Napier (the Sheriff) was in Star Trek: The Way to Eden (1969)(#3.20) & Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Little Green Men (1995) (#4.7). He was also in Il silenzio degli innocenti (1991), which also has some connections to this series as a whole. including (but not limited to, Ted Levine)Detective Monk: Mr. Monk and the UFO (2009) (#8.3) has an actress named Jennifer Riker.
