Igor Stravinsky was none to happy with the liberties Leopold Stokowski took with the "Rite of Spring" score, changing the order of sections, shorting others and deleting some altogether. He made his displeasure known to anyone who would listen. Then when the film was released and he saw the finished segment as well as the hearing the praise heaped upon the film in general, he commented, "Well, I guess that's what I meant."
