Richie's character mirrors that of Billy, while Amber is a counterpart to Stu. She is not only living in the same house as Stu, she has the same neurotic behavior and sass of Stu. Stu had the outward veneer of a sociable yet obnoxious party animal with a serious lack of tact, while Amber presents herself as empathetic, intelligent, and sarcastic and is sensitive to her friend's needs. Both of them are also obsessed with slasher films, though only Amber's motive is directly tied to them (wanting to revive the Stab franchise with new "source material"), while Stu's motive is a combination of sadism and the joy he gets from killing people, as well as to get back at his ex-girlfriend Casey Becker by taking inspiration from slasher flicks. Both also present themselves as cowards, trying futilely to make excuses for their behavior, and are also impulsive and temperamental in trying to kill the remaining characters even while being maimed. Stu had an antagonistic relationship with Billy as his accomplice, while Amber seems to get along with her partner-in-crime Richie because of their similar motivations (with possible romantic undertones), though she does try to flip on him the second she gets in "trouble" with the protagonists. While Stu reveals his true identity as Ghostface after Billy, Amber takes Billy's place in the reveal order, doing so by shooting someone outside of the mask, just as Billy did.
