The film has a similar plot element to Galaxis (1995). Both films are about powerful crystals that are created at the beginning of the time and the villains in both movies seek to possess the crystals and use them to wipe out life in the universe and they both go to Earth to find the crystals. Brigitte Nielsen whom played the film's main protagonist in Galaxis (1995) had played Red Sonja in Yado (1985) which was based on fantasy stories by Robert E. Howard. Marvel comics adapted Robert E. Howard's Red Sonja's stories into comic books.
