The film was approved by the Code, cause there was nothing to be censored. The people of the Code though the 1947 remake with George Montgomery and Nancy Guild would be equal, so they approved, but the 1947 include telling about rape, lots of sexual innuendos, girl would like to stay in his house alone with a man. kiss more than 10 seconds, sexual caress, etc...
