The last shot of the movie, the shot that pans up and shows Lecter following Chilton down the Bahamian street, is one of the longest continuous takes shot on film, clocking in at just under 5 and a half minutes. It's also a rare example of a modern movie showing the entirety of its end credits over images rather than a black screen.
