An edited and digitally altered version of the church massacre scene from this movie was included in a video promoting President Donald Trump that was shown at an October 2019 conference for the president's supporters at Trump's Miami resort. The clip depicted Trump's face superimposed on an action hero character who guns down figures in the pews representing various journalists, politicians, and media outlets - for example, Senator Mitt Romney, former Senator Hillary Clinton, the late Senator John McCain, and former President Barack Obama; and CNN, NPR, The Huffington Post, and PBS.
