In Lois & Clark - Le nuove avventure di Superman: Strange Visitor (From Another Planet) (1993), Lex Luthor (John Shea) attempts to test the abilities of Superman (Dean Cain). He questions his associates, and remarks that amongst other things, Superman could be faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. These are the exact words that began Max Fleischer's "Superman" short cartoons made from 1941 to 1943.
