"An Unlocked Window" is seemingly inspired by both Psycho and the Richard Speck nurse killings that happened about a year before this episode came out. They remade the episode in 1985 with Annette O'Toole and Bruce Davison. (In both versions the male actor, when doing drag, was doing his own falsetto voice, and then at the ending a deeper male voice-not the same actor- was dubbed in, for maximum effect).
