This franchise loves the Velociraptors. They almost steal the movies. In real life the little kid at the beginning of Jurassic Park (1993) who called them "turkeys" is right; they looked like wild turkeys running around. Wild turkeys; 3 or 4 feet tall; with Freddy Kreuger like talons. They were very vicious and dangerous; but they were not big - certainly not bigger than modern man is. The modern equivalent would be the Cassowary; which is equally dangerous. Velociraptors definitely looked like birds (not lizards) and they had feathers; they were not green and scaley.
