David, despite stating that he feels no emotion or desires, clearly does. His resentment of his human creators is clearly shown also in the form of rejection he receives from his 'father' and 'sister' (Peter Weyland and Meredith Vickers) as well as the abuse he takes from Doctor Holloway, who is quite nasty to him. It's possible that David's psychotic behavior in 'Alien: Covenant' was caused by such abuse he took from Halloway and Weyland.
