Was originally going to be directed by John Lasseter, the director of the First two "Toy Story" and "Cars" films, as well as A Bug's Life - Megaminimondo (1998) as a normal point of the franchise until 2017 when it was decided to be the last film of the franchise in which Josh Cooley has taken over due to difficulties Lasseter had been facing directing a film while at the same time being CEO of all Animation Studios of Disney, though Lasseter remains as Executive Producer.
