The flying vehicles are called "ornithopters", from the Greek words 'ornis' meaning 'bird' and 'pteron', 'wing'. However, these machines are shaped (and their wings move) like dragon-flies, so they should be called "anisopters" from 'anisoptera' (dragonflies' scientific name), with 'anisos' meaning 'unequal'.
