The first half of the movie was animated by Walt Disney Animation Australia and the second half was animated by Walt Disney Animation Japan. Australia has a more expressive and alive style while Japan has nicer drawings. The animation switches when Abis Mal is climbing on the palace wall resulting in Aladdin suddenly wearing his street rat clothes instead of his prince clothes. Similarly Australia animated the first part of the Darkwing Duck (1991) pilot while Japan animated the second part.
