Paula Abdul's assistant Sam is played by Casey Jost, longtime comedy producer of the Cattivissimi amici (2011) television series. Jost also hosts the Impractical Insider and Behind the Laughs segments, in which he takes viewers behind the scenes to show how a challenge and/or punishment is filmed.
