The only James Bond movie made during the 1980s which was based on a full length Ian Fleming novel, which was "Thunderball". All of the 1980s Bond movies, made by EON Productions, were titles based on short stories (Octopussy - Operazione piovra (1983), 007 - Bersaglio mobile (1985), and 007 - Zona pericolo (1987)). Some story elements from the novel "Live and Let Die" were included in 007 - Vendetta privata (1989) and Solo per i tuoi occhi (1981), but neither of those movie titles were from a full length Ian Fleming novel.
