The first Cartoon Network original series produced by Cartoon Network Studios to rival with Nickelodeon Animation Studios, who successfully worked for the shows such as I Rugrats (1991), The Ren & Stimpy Show (1991), and La vita moderna di Rocko (1993) for Nickelodeon. With the show becoming a major success, it followed to the series of Cartoon Cartoons such as Johnny Bravo (1997), Le superchicche (1998) and Ed, Edd & Eddy (1999) becoming as part of Cartoon Network's golden age in the late 1990s.
