This Old House offered Kevin O'Connor this hosting role after Steve Thomas left the show in 2003. Kevin and his wife Kathleen were on an episode of Ask This Old House, in which painting contractor Jim Clark assisted them with a wallpaper-removal project, and the producers thought he'd make a good TV personality for the show.
