Hank is quick to get in a fight, but never wins any in this movie, he either loses, or Irene saves him. This reflected the reality of Dissociative Identity Disorder, in that the core personality of Charlie wasn't a fighter, so Hank wouldn't have any inherent knowledge of how to fight.
