Almost all of the female witches' characters names ended with the letter "a," including Samantha, Endora, Esmeralda, Clara, Hagatha, Enchantra, Serena, and Tabatha. Some exceptions include Abigail Beechum (Maurice's private secretary), Elspeth (Samantha's childhood nanny), and Mary (friend of Bertha, Endora and Clara).
