Kate Winslet claimed when she first met Leonardo DiCaprio she thought he was so impossibly attractive that it would be awkward for her acting romantic scenes with him. She claimed that fortunately the two of them developed a close friendship over the shoot that made it comfortable for the two of them to trust each other and be comfortable acting in character during the love scene, and they remained best of friends ever since. Due to that friendship the two of them have always found it amusing when people have asked them if they were really in love or if they regretted not starting a relationship.
