Producer Vikas Mohan's father Surendra Mohan had signed Akshay Kumar way back in 1992. Akshay kept on signing more and more films and kept delaying the project. Akshay finally gave the go ahead in 1995. Again he kept delaying the film by shooting other films. Surendra Mohan got angry and thrashed Akshay in the media. Be stated he signed him because Pramod Chakraborthy had signed him. He never knew that Akshay would play games and cause so much tension.
