When George escapes and runs through the San Diego Wildlife Sanctuary he meets a lot of bewildered visitors in the grounds. This is similar to a real life event which happend on May 18th 2007 at the Rotterdam Zoo Blijdorp in The Netherlands. Bokito (born 14 March 1996) is a male western gorilla born in captivity. He broke out of his enclosure, abducting a female visitor and severely injuring her, he injured a few more visitors in an on-site restaurant. He was captured with the use of a tranquillizer gun an hour later.
