After watching the film, Federico Fellini sent Stanley Kubrick a congratulatory telegram, later reprinted in the British Far Out magazine, stating: "Dear Stanley, I saw yesterday your film and I need to tell you my emotion, my enthusiasm. I wish you the best luck in your path".
