To prepare for her role, Camilla Belle had to undergo a strict workout regimen as the character Jill is meant to be a track star athlete and Belle only has experience as a dancer. She had a personal trainer and went to the gym and track a few times a week. Belle would spend upwards of an hour in the gym doing tons of weights. During track lessons, she learned how to sprint. Belle's routine consisted of protein shakes and epsom salt baths.
