Nicole Kidman was originally going to star in the movie in a undisclosed role and it was speculated Nicole Kidman was going to play Sam Leary or Julie Castle. But, Nicole Kidman ended up not starring in the movie. 29 years after The Punisher was released, both Nicole Kidman and Dolph Lundgren would star in the comic book movie Aquaman (2018) which Dolph Lundgren played King Nereus and Nicole Kidman played Atlanna.
