(at around 1h 4 mins) A possible reason as for why no on can hear Janice's screams when she is about to be possessed in the barn by Annabelle is that the demons are able to warp and distort reality, which is a common trait of demons depicted in movies. This doesn't explain how they somehow heard her when she was screaming inside the barn though.
