As evidence of this change one may note that on January 11, 2022 - twelve years after the release of the new episodes - Rachel Balkovec became the first woman manager of a pro men's team, the single-A Yankees affiliate, the Tampa Tarpons. And the series also mentioned the hard-luck Chicago Cubs who hadn't won the world series since1908. They won in 2016, defeating the Indians 4-3 at Wrigley Field.
