Sean Astin shot his short movie The Long and Short of It (2003) during a re-shoot in New Zealand. Lucasfilm was demonstrating its new high definition digital video cameras (used on Star Wars: Episodio II - L'attacco dei cloni (2002)) for Sir Peter Jackson, and Astin asked the Lucasfilm crew if they could stay an extra day, so he could use the camera to shoot his short movie. They agreed, and Astin shot the movie in six hours.
