Many cast members have previously starred in other superhero/comic book movies. Bruce Willis starred in the Sin City and Red franchises, Spencer Treat Clark was on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013), James McAvoy was in Wanted - Scegli il tuo destino (2008) and the X-Men film franchise, Samuel L. Jackson stars as Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was Octopus in The Spirit (2008), and Sarah Paulson was in the aforementioned The Spirit (2008). Anya Taylor-Joy went on to be in The New Mutants (2020).
