Robert Downey Jr. and James Spader appeared in Ultima occasione (1985) and Al di là di tutti i limiti (1987). There's even a scene in Tuff Turf (1985) where Spader is walking out of a party and there is graffiti painted on a brick wall that reads "The New Avengers."
