When the landlady and Ellie are sitting in the living room near the end of the film, a vinyl record titled "Ev'rything's Coming Up Dusty" (by Dusty Springfield) can be seen for a moment. As soon as the record is shown, the truth about Sandy and what really happened in her room is revealed. Later, the fire has burnt much of the record away, leaving only "Ev'rything's Coming Up" visible, which a reference to the landlady chasing Ellie up the stairs, and to the bodies that rise from the floor in her room.
