Tolkien began writing another sequel in the Middle-Earth series; taking place 200 years after the events in Lord of the Rings. The name of the book was to be A New Shadow, and it was to be about the rise of a Satanic type cult in the world of man; under the aegis of King Eldarian (son of Aragorn). Tolkien only wrote about 10 or 15 pages and he abandoned it.
