The alien characters each have their own unique power. Max can heal people from almost any injury, Isabel can "dream walk," by seeing people's dreams and communicating with them, and Tess can make people see things that are not happening. Michaels special power was never revealed per se, but he frequently used some kind of energy as an offensive weapon. They can all change the molecular structure of objects.
