The producer claimed she made a profit on the film. She signed Anil Kapoor for 1.5 Lakhs in 1982 when he was a newcomer and the production cost was 35 Lakhs. The distributors offered 15 Lakhs per territory in 1989 but the producer demanded 22 Lakhs. Thus in the end she got the profit.
