Along with their connections from the Planet of the Apes movies, Charlton Heston and Linda Harrison (credited as Augusta Summerland) had a Lo squalo (1975) connection. Heston wanted very much to play Chief Brody in Jaws but was too tied up making Airport 1975 and Earthquake, so Roy Scheider got the part. Harrison lobbied her husband Richard D. Zanuck the producer of Jaws to give her the part of Chief Brody's wife Ellen Brody, but director Steven Spielberg preferred Lorraine Gary for the part. Gary's husband Sid Sheinberg who was chief at Universal Pictures at the time gave Harrison the part in Airport 1975 as a "consolation prize."
