Cast member Kevin Bacon is a distant cousin of actor Mark Hamill. His character in this film, Sebastian Shaw, shares his name with the actor who played Anakin Skywalker; Hamill's father; in Return of the Jedi. Matthew Vaughn directed Hamill in his next comic-based film, Kingsmen: The Secret Service.
