The aerial shot of the city in the final scene was filmed using a nose-mounted VistaVision camera on a Bell Jet Ranger helicopter piloted by Steve Wright with Harold Tichenor also riding in the helicopter. It was difficult to film because they had to get the helicopter so close to the city, so for safety reasons, the crew had to block off 12 square city blocks.
