When Bobby Davis (Martin Lawrence) is confronted by his wife, Karen (Tichina Arnold), about his cover-up story to hide his motorcycle trip with his buddies, he tells her he was at a plumbing convention in Cleveland. In Bad Boys (1995), Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) lies to his wife Theresa (Theresa Randle) to cover-up having to guard Julie Mott (Téa Leoni), by telling her he has to go to Cleveland on a police assignment.
