Manoj Kumar stated "Inspite of whatever anyone says Zeenat Aman is a very dedicated artiste. For 1 scene in Roti Kapda Makaan, I wanted her to hold her tears and let them fall on 1 particular word of her long dialogue. I had her dates for only 3 days. She was very busy in those days. But it took us 17 long days to finish that scene. She shuffled her dates with other producers to comply and help me.
