The original unaired pilot Gli antenati: The Flagstones (1960) was produced in 1959. It is only 102 seconds. The series was intended to be called "The Flagstones", but the title was changed when the creators of the comic strip "Hi and Lois" (a spin-off of "Beetle Bailey"), about a suburban American family named the Flagstons, threatened a possible law suit, so William Hanna & Joseph Barbera changed the Stone-Age family's last-name to Flintstone before Gli antenati: The Flintstone Flyer (1960) was produced.
