The series was cancelled because studio executives wanted the Christopher and Erin characters to break up and cheat on each other while Christopher Titus felt they should stay together. This is in spite of the fact that Titus: The Break-Up (2000) already featured this exact story. Titus himself points out this fact in his YouTube introduction to the episode.
