During the final recording for the series, which the cast had to sing the finale's major song "Time Adventure" John DiMaggio (the voice of Jake) admitted that he cried while performing and similarly cried on the way home later in the day. At Comic Con 2018, when writer of the song Rebecca Sugar performed it for the crowd, DiMaggio once again cried and was the first to lead a standing ovation for the musical number.
